NYC/FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA.; June 2021 – World-acclaimed chef Laurent Tourondel, recipient of a highly coveted Michelin star has officially announced the acquisition of one of Fort Lauderdale’s most in-demand restaurant properties at the luxury Auberge Residences from The Related Group, together with investment group 2200 Holdings, LLC. Tourondel, who among an outstanding list of accolades and achievements was named Best Chef by Bon Appétit magazine in 2017, is poised to transform the existing Dune restaurant into Dune by Laurent Tourondel, an elevated dining experience unlike any other.
Sure to bear the chef’s signature international influences, Dune by Laurent Tourondel, a restaurant already known for its stunning panoramic oceanfront views and steps to the beach, will undergo extensive renovations to both the 11,000-square feet of indoor space and its accompanying 5,000-square-foot outdoor space. Closing on the property took place early June and the restaurant will be re-opened and revealed in full by fall 2021.
Dune by Laurent Tourondel will launch as one of South Florida’s only celebrity chef-driven oceanfront restaurant, and special event venues able to accommodate multiple social, corporate gatherings, beachfront weddings and other special occasions from 10 people to 500 people with possibilities of customized menus by Chef Laurent Tourondel in addition to oceanfront meetings and events. A private wine room will also be available by reservation in addition to semi private and private spaces and dining rooms with full audio/visual and sound capabilities for seamless presentations.
“We’ll be introducing Dune by Laurent Tourondel to guests this fall, with a signature Tourondel menu and inspiring redesigned space by the illustrious Alfredo Paredes Studio with special attention to embracing Dune’s unparalleled oceanfront view. Shemesh, a real estate and restaurant entrepreneur, hailing from New York who resides in Florida, has engaged fellow partners Laurent Tourondel and Steven Carro of New York’s WeChef Hospitality to helm the unique restaurant property.
