CURTIS Audiophile Cafe & Cocktail Bar
CURTIS is an Audiophile Cafe & Cocktail Bar to open soon (October 2018) in the centre of Barcelona, in the trendy and vibrant area of Eixample.
There’s a concept that’s totally new to Barcelona coming this October, when Curtis Bar opens on Carrer Mallorca/Enric Granados as the city’s first audiophile café & cocktail bar.
While it’s a new concept to Barcelona, audiophile bars have been an integral part of Tokyo’s food and drinks scene for many years, and you’ll now find versions in London, most notably with Spiritland in Kings Cross (www.spiritland.com), and Brilliant Corners in Dalston (www.brilliancorners.co,uk). Essentially, it’s all about enjoying light food, good drinks and conversation with friends or family while listening to music on a beautiful sound system. The quality of the sound and the music we play is very important, probaly the most important element in our business concept. We aim for sonic excellence, not necessarily loud in volume but most definitely hi in quality. We want our customers to step out of the city bustle, sit on one of or comfy sofas and enjoy the pleasure of listening to good music played through hi-end beautiful speakers.
From Thursday to Sunday, DJs will play six hour sets that take listeners on a journey through ambient, jazz, electronica, funk, soul and world music from across the globe.
Along with the music, there’ll be table service for light food (bagles, focaccia, salads, sandwitches, cakes..) and drinks: the latter comprising an extensive beer menu along with wines, cocktails plus homemade non-alcoholic drinks and freshly pressed juices.
We need to hire a competent barista for the day shift (12-8pm) and a sensational bartender/mixologist who can mix a tasty cocktail with a smile (night shift 8pm-3am)
