- Responsible for overall supervision, planning, controlling and coordination of all activities of the assigned outlet.
- Establish and maintain seamless co-ordination & co-operation with all departments of Novotel Visakhapatnam Varun Beach to ensure maximum cooperation, productivity, and guest service.
- Monitor and supervise service flow in the assigned outlet.
- Any matter which may affect the interests of Novotel Visakhapatnam Varun Beach should be brought to the attention of the Management

Job Description

As a Bartender, you will be responsible for creating and serving a wide range of beverages while providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wines, beers, and soft drinks
- Create signature cocktails and recommend drink options to customers
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Take customer orders and process payments accurately
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, restocking supplies as needed
- Verify customers' age and practice responsible alcohol service
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service operations
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
- Assist in creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for all patrons

Qualifications

- Prior experience as a bartender or in a similar role, preferably in an upscale establishment
- Extensive knowledge of cocktail recipes, mixology techniques, and current beverage trends
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Strong multitasking abilities and capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills in English and local languages
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Food safety certification (equivalent to Food Handlers Card in India)
- Bartending certification (equivalent to MAST Permit in India) preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Detail-oriented with a focus on cleanliness and presentation

Additional Information

- Responsible for daily administration, meeting and greeting, dealing with guests’ queries and complaints, and booking rooms. visitors
- Maintain high standards of customer services at the Reception desk so that customers’ expectations are consistently exceeded.
- Motivate and develop Reception team to ensure smooth functioning of the department and promote teamwork.
- Any matter which may affect the interests of Novotel Visakhapatnam Varun Beach should be brought to the attention of the Management.
