Hard Work
Bruce

Hello, I'm Bruce.

Adventurous, very sociable and fun bartender from Belgium trying to make it in the world of bartending and everything around it.

I started my love for bartending in my local town "Wenduine". It's a small city on the coast of Belgium. I used to work in a local bar that didn't even serve cocktails, we served loads of different kinds of beer and only made the easy well known drinks like Gin & Tonic, Cuba libre, etc. I worked there for 3 years and enjoyed every single bit of it. I loved how good of a relationship I had with the customers because all of them were local and just came from work with loads of stories to tell. That bar lives of its regulars and that's why it was enjoyable building a bond with them every single day. I learned all the basics of waiting tables and serving beers in that bar. I'd say I learned to be polite to customers and how to deal with different kinds of people. In the 3 years I worked there I became more sociable and wasn't as scared anymore. I'm now very talkative at appropriate moments and try and get to know different people because everyone has a different story. The reason why I went to European Bartender School (EBS) is because I wanted to take it a step further and get into cocktails. I'm very happy I did the full course and made the step to do it because I’ve never been more excited to start something new than at this moment.
