Bourbon-lover, friendly, Spanish bartender who feels especially comfortable working in a multicultural atmosphere. Matching people's needs with cocktails is one of the reasons why I love my job.
I'll always remember my first bartending job. I worked at a tapas bar with my uncle in Gran Canaria and it was one of the first jobs where I felt fulfilled. I've always loved working with people (that's one of the reasons why I started studying psychology) and I realised bartending was an easy way to connect with people, because it is an environment where guests come to you with a good disposition to have a nice time, and I am happy to offer that. My last bartendering experience was at Puerto Azul Hotel, also in Gran Canaria, and it entailed more responsabilities because I was in charge of the inventory, stockroom management, contacting providers, etc. That gave me some perspective and helped me understand in more depth not only the bartending role but also how the relationship between the bar and other hotel departments works.
