Hello, I'm Matthias.

I am a young Belgian bartender with an easy-going personality who is passionate and eager to learn more about the bartending world.

Being half Belgian, half Austrian, I believe that having a multicultural family has always made me open-minded and curious to discover new places and meet people from all over the world. Growing up in a farm, my experiences include harvesting and helping with the maintenance of the farm. It taught me what hard work feels like and to appreciate the fruit of my labor. After my school years, I took part in a German course in Munich to improve the language in order to become a ski instructor. After getting my instructor license, I spent three months in the Austrian mountains teaching my passion to small children. This experience taught me to manage big responsibilities and work in a team. Finally, participating to the EBS course in Mallorca was a highlight as it introduced me to the world of bartending and confirmed my growing passion for making cocktails and mixology. I enjoyed each of my experiences abroad as they taught me different ways of living and working. I learnt to adapt to different situations and getting out of my comfort zone (where all good things happen). I really believe that my outgoing and friendly personality will make me a great bartender and I can't wait to improve myself and be part of a new exciting adventure!
