Hello, I'm João.

I'm a 24 years old bartender coming from Portugal with 4 year experience in bartending along Europe. Friendly, motivated and passionate about the bar, always looking forward to learn some more. Confortable working in busy environments.

I was 19 when I decided to have an outside of Portugal experience, so I packed my bags and I went to London. I ended up working as a barback in a bar in order to pay my bills, but ended up falling in love with the bar and the bartending art. So 3 months later I was beeing trained to become a bartender, wich I did. A year and a half later I became the head-bartender of that same place, and worked there for a year more, until I decided that wanted to go back home for awhile. In Portugal I've worked on a beach bar, and opened up a club on that same summer. At the end of the summer I went to Iceland, in search of a different adventure. There I've worked as a supervisor at a restaurant, bartender on a busy cocktail bar and as a bartender at the Hard Rock Café Reykjavík, where I've worked for over a year. On August 2018 I went to New York to get a certificate on bartending, and did the Advanced Mixology Course at the European Bartending School. Right now I'm in Portugal, and needing for a new adventure more than ever, that can fulfill me, and where I can learn some more about bartending. You never know everything!
