Hard Work
Mia

Hello, I'm Mia.

super social, easygoing and motivated - rather hard working than standing around being bored! Very stress-resistant. Obviously an alcohol lover, good teamplayer, and interested in all kind of cultures! So yeah, that's me:)

Just the fact that you're reading this right now makes me being exited because it means I'm one step closer to hopefully having a cool job behind an even cooler bar! I'm a german actress, so after spending a lot of time on stage and in front of the camera I figured out that working in hospitality and working as an actress is more similar than I thought it was, and that I wasn't doing such a bad job when I started selling ice cream in this awesome ice-cream shop in my hometown when I was 15 years old... I then worked in different restaurants as a waitress for a couple of years, mostly really enjoying being around so many different people but always adoring the bartenders preparing the drinks that I served. I made good money and people liked me so I never really considered starting behind the bar until this one really busy week in 'Rosarium' where I had to help out the poor bartenders who were drowning in orders. That was the point where I knew: I want to be a bartender. Not just being a chic, preparing a sex on the beach using cheap oj from the supermarket but having a job that allows me to create not just tasty but exiting experiences for every beautiful soul that walks into the bar! I got a job in a really cool place that serves coffee and unalcoholic drinks during the day and turns into a cocktail bar at nighttime, which allowed me to increase my skills as a barista such as a bartender. I worked there for almost 1 year until I left to go traveling for 1 year. (I had the time of my life seeing the world btw). I came back around a year ago and mostly worked as a parkour trainer and an actress, but also as a bartender on the weekends in a really traditional restaurant/beer bar. The summer '18 was coming closer and closer and a friend of mine decided to do the ebs - international bartender course in Spain which I was really jealous of because it sounded like my dream summer plans that I could never afford. Buuuut guess what, I just worked a little harder and spent a little less, booked my ticket to Cape Town, packed my stuff and flew to beautiful South Africa where I graduated the 4 weeks international bartender course as one of the best students they ever had... hehe (sorry from bragging, I'm just still so proud of myself.) I then didn't want to fly back, canceled my ticket and worked in Cape Town as a bartender in a really cool club called 'the Wonderland' and for different events with 2 event companies. Very long and exhausting shifts in very uncomfortable white button-up-shirts with definitely not enough sleep and way too much alcohol - aka the time of my life with experiences I could never have dreamed of. Being a part of the bar community here just makes me want to get even more knowledge and experiences as a bartender. I am back in Berlin now looking for a new job in a cool bar, hopefully working with nice people and learning about new drinks! :) I hope I caught your attention and I sound like someone you could use behind your bar! If not, I'm sorry but I'm very sure you will find someone who does. I would love to meet you, enjoy your day, Mia
