Bartending has made me the person I am today, with a new found love for travelling. Although I have only worked in 1 bar all my life, my dream is to travel the world working in many different bars that each provide a different sense of atmosphere and nightlife. I want to grow as a person and experience new and exciting cultures. I started working in a Bar and Restaurant when i was 16, cleaning bins, stocking fridges, sorting empty bottles for collection, putting away new stock on arrival. I then progressed into the role of Bartender, serving guests in a timely and professional manner, changing kegs, re-stocking ice, glass collecting, maintaining a tidy establishment. Years later I was appointed Assistant Bar Manager, this role built my confidence as a Bartender, I was tasked with staff training, Rostering, nightly cash up and lock up. 2 years on I became Bar Manager of the same establishment. During this time I was also involved in the foodservice side of the business.
