Hard Work
Ruby

Hello, I'm Ruby.

I am a highly motivated individual who relishes new experiences and opportunities. I work well in a group as well as individually showing I can perform well in many different environments, and make the most of opportunities presented to me.

The majority of my previous jobs were in fast paced, independent cafes. The skills I gained from these jobs are effortlessly transferred to bar work for example, making multiple different drinks at once to a high standard. They also gave me a lot of experience with customer service and keeping everyone happy. Working as a butcher and fishmonger gave me the ability to deal with the more unglamorous side of bartending, which some are too squeamish to deal with. I worked long, hard hours and was still able to do my job to a very high standard. I learnt how to fillet a fish and remove the sinew of a piece of fillet without cutting a finger off, which has definitely helped me train myself to have steady hands when cutting fruit thinly or floating a cocktail. After completing EBS I got my first bar job. As the cocktail bar was located in a small town, we weren't always rushed off our feet. But I always kept myself busy, with weekly and daily cleaning, refilling liquors and sugar syrups.
